Privacy Policy – Vision Terminal

Connect Beyond Limits

Last updated: September 17, 2026

Vision Terminal is an SSH client for Apple Vision Pro, built privacy-first. It is an on-device only app: there is no Vision Terminal account, no Vision Terminal server, and no backend of any kind.

The app does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information. Everything you enter stays on your Apple Vision Pro.

What stays on your device

Network connections

When you open a session, Vision Terminal connects directly from your device to the server you specify, over an encrypted SSH connection. That traffic goes to your own server — it never passes through the developer or any third party. The developer has no visibility into which servers you connect to or what you do on them.

Microphone and speech recognition

Vision Terminal offers optional voice dictation for typing commands. If you use it:

What the app does not use

Because the app collects no personal data, no information is ever sold, shared or used for marketing purposes. Vision Terminal does not track you across apps or websites.

Encryption

Vision Terminal uses standard, publicly available cryptography (SSH with AES, RSA, ECDSA/Ed25519 and Diffie-Hellman key exchange) solely to secure your own connections to your own servers. It contains no proprietary encryption.

Children's privacy

Vision Terminal is a developer and system-administration tool intended for a general audience. It does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.

Data deletion

Because all data is local, deleting the app removes everything: saved profiles, settings and Keychain items created by Vision Terminal. Individual profiles and stored credentials can also be deleted at any time from within the app.
